Flights to Italy NOW are MUCH cheaper that my April 19th inquiries (fuel $ uncertainty?). Am I better off booking now or waiting several months for a lower fare risking availability? Thank you! Jack

I've seen the same thing. You can get a great deal right now but later bookings aren't cheap yet. Personally I'd wait and run the risk that prices go up. I think there is more of a chance that prices will come down as you get closer to April.
Booking four to six weeks in advance may be better anyway because airlines have been canceling flights and leaving people with rebooking issues.
