Anyone know how to deal with this SNCF quirk?

I've bought tickets on the French site with no problems before. I want to buy Paris-Lauterbrunnen, but SNCF won't sell me this ticket, because they say it requires 3 changes. This despite the fact that it often only requires 2 changes (in Bern and Interlaken, and yes that is available on the day I want). Does anyone know a way around this? Or will I need to stand in line for a ticket from Interlaken-Lauterbrunnen at the Interlaken station?

SNCF won't sell you a ticket from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen, because that stretch is on a private railway. You'll have to purchase your ticket at either the Bern or Interlaken stations. There are rarely any lines at the Interlaken station.

I wondered if that were the case (despite the message from SNCF)! Thanks.
