Any Seattle people taken the new Lufthansa to Frankfurt yet?

Just wondering if anyone has taken this flight yet? We are scheduled to fly it in December- and am wondering if anyone has any experiences to share about the flight, the service, the food, or anything! Thanks!

I took this flight in early April 2008 just after Lufthansa started the Seattle to Frankfurt route. The food and service were good. The plane was uncrowded - maybe 70% full- but that may change as people become aware of that route.

Thank you! How was In-Flight Entertainment?

Lufthansa are one of the few airlines left with no in-seat video entertainment. They only have screens hanging on the ceilings of the aisle. They announced they would start putting-in in-seat video in the spring of 2008 but what does that say about your chances of actually ending up in a refurbished cabin? Apart from that food is great, they even set-up a little self-service buffet during the night...

My understanding is the A330's now have in-seat entertainment systems on their long haul flights. This is what both the Lufthansa website and Seat Guru said. I was surprised to read this recently, as I was under the impression they still had the in-ceiling screens.

Expanding a bit on Andreas' comment. We have flown Lufthansa from LAX to Frankfurt on a 747. What a great flight. Great service.

There may not have been in-seat monitors in coach but they are in every seat in business class. Tons of movies in various categories were available for the entire trip. I can't speak to what may be available in business class or coach on an A330.

Last November we had in ceiling screens. According to their web site they are converting all to in seat.
