Any experience with Air Tahiti Nui?

Hello fellow travelers,

I’ve accumulated enough AA miles for a nice round trip.
I don’t have plans to travel at the moment, but I think it would be quite nice to fly from LAX to CDG nonstop. Just dreaming here….

Since most of my past flights to Europe have been purchased with miles, I’ve never flown nonstop to my destination.

Anyway, I found this great deal (60K miles RT) LAX to CDG on AA.
However, the LAX to CDG flight is operated by Air Tahiti Nui, and I’ve not heard of this airline previously.

I’m curious to know if you have flown on Air Tahiti Nui from LAX to CDG,
if so, would you please share your experiences?

Thanks in advance!

Happy travels!

I have not flown them, but they operate out of Seattle to the Pacific and are an affiliate with One World Airlines such as American and Alaska. They fly multiple flights/route daily. They are an established airline and if you can get the flight that you want, I would not hesitate to book.

We used them a couple of times when our home airport was LAX. It was a great all around experience. We felt like we were headed to an exotic, tropical country when Paris was our nonstop leg. The food was good, the personnel were cheerful and the plane was comfortable for economy. The French teacher at my school told me about this option that various members of her family were using for their annual trips to France.

We flew Air Tahiti Nui from LAX to Papeete and back. We had no issues with them. We would fly them again.

I flew them years ago - LAX is a stopover for their Tahiti to CDG service. It was a 747 at the time, LAX to CDG. As a very long haul International flight, it may be somewhat safe to assume that they staff it with an experienced crew. As I recall, it was a very pleasant flight. Be mindful of schedule changes over the next few months. Schedule page here:

We flew them many years ago LAX-Tahiti. It was fine, but even long ago, it was a very tight seat pitch, and I'm not that tall.

Thanks everyone!

Sounds like a good airline.

I’ll continue dreaming about a future trip! ;-)
