Any experience on how to proceed with bahn.de timetable changes?

Hello everyone! The situation is the following: I booked in advance two seats through bahn.de website from Amsterdam Centraal to Berlin Hbf and a few days ago received a not very clear email about timetable changes.
So, using the trip planner I checked the current schedules and it seems my original train now does not make it to Berlín, it ends in Hannover.
Then the planner shows there is a train from Hannover to Berlin but I do not have any reservation there.

Any experienced a similar situation? Do I need to do something or I can just follow the new suggested schedule with my old ticket?

Thank you so much to anyone who can help!

I would start by sending email query to originator of the email you received asking for clarification

I have not used the website. Does it have a feature like the airlines to input your info/confirmation code and see your reservation?

If so, does it show your trip ending in Hanover or in Berlin?

Yes, I already sended an email to them but no responses until now. I'll try in Amsterdam station but I'm not sure if there will be an office there.

I loaded my ticket in their app, using the order number and stills shows the original schedule.

In case the Deutsche Bahn doesn't respond on your email, you can handle this affair in person with their agent in the Netherlands: Treinreiswinkel. They have an office in Amsterdam on the Singel 393.

DB does not have compulsory reservations, so you will still be able to travel on the second train even without a reserved seat.

Your tickets can be tied to a specific train. If that train doesn't run anymore, it won't be a problem to get them changed. You'll save yourself possible confusion do have it done beforehand.

Call DB. They will reissue a new ticket to an ICE for the sector Hannover-Berlin. Likely you will arrive even earlier than in your original schedule, as ICE travel substantially faster (and with fewer stops) than the IC train you would be in.

If you do not call them, you will still be able to board the next ICE, without a seat reservation though. You can sit on any unreserved seat but risk having to stand.

If you do not mind spending an extra €4, you can book a seat-reservation only at the next ICE in Hannover (after your train from Amsterdam arrive) to Berlin. You pay the fee and get a reservation. Go to the same page you used to buy your ticket, but make an option to purchase only a seat reservation (NOT a new ticket).

When you talk to German Rail, point out to them that you booked Amsterdam to Berlin and that reservations are for an entire one way trip, for all connecting trains, so they should allow you to reserve the train from Hannover to Berlin gratis. (Maybe that was what the email said.)

The reservations are valid for single journeys including all
connecting trains. www.bahn.com/en/view/offers/other/seat-reservation.shtml
