I am arriving in Milan Malpensa close to midnight and not wanting to take any chances with the Kids I booked a Room near the airport. The room is listed as superior with a King size bed and a double sleeper sofa, I know my wife, my small frame daughter and me can perfectly sleep in the king size bed and the 2 other teenagers in the sleeper sofa but after booking I realized they list this room for 2 adults and 2 kids under 16 free. What do I do with the 18 years old one. Will I have to book another room? I haven't book Paris but will have the same situation.

I'm counting 6 people in your family. Is that correct?
If so, I'm almost certain you'll need two rooms. E-mail the hotel to be sure.

No, There is me (1), my wife (2), a girl age 13 (3) and two boys 16 and 18 (4 and 5) We are 5. But the girl is small frame.

It is ot how small your daughter is, but the total number of people and their ages. If "size mattered" I should never have to pay.
I would e-mail the hotel and explain that you are a family with a child under 16. They should be willing to put in an extra bed; most places do not charge extra for children uner 16. But they will want to charge for the older kids, and you need to be up front about that.

It is much more common in Europe to charge by the person. Where as in the US, it is mostly by the room and not as much concern about how the room is used. You need to advise the hotel who is stating there in order to avoid a potentially awkward situation.

Yes, the hotels can get quite sticky about having more than the described number in the room, and may charge more. Call/email and ask.

Thanks guys. I will e-mail the hotel and see. If I have to book another room I'll have to. You learn from your mistakes. I have even thought of ridding the night in the airport when we arrive in Orly Paris. But I don't know if they are going to be OK with 5 bagabounds. Any more advise on this?
