Another rental car tip

After it happened to me I remembered reading on a forum maybe this one to try other country versions of websites to find rental car.

Just Saturday I decided our group needed a second rental car. I’m already in France. The others will join me here next week. AutoEurope knew me on my phone and sent me to US website. Seemed expensive so I checked also Kayak on my phone. Kayak sent me to Kayak.fr and rates were about half. Many different rentals companies available. I ended up booking directly on enterprise.fr

AutoEurope has different versions also. I booked a rental for Ireland through AutoEurope.ie and one for the Uk through AutoEurope.co.uk. Both were much cheaper than using AutoEurope.com (the default US version). I don't know why.

Wow thanks for that info. Going to be renting a car in a few weeks and that is awesome. Did you rent your car with a drop off in different city or return to same you rented from? Trying to see if they didn't charge for that drop off fee. Thanks!

Has anyone rented a car from SIXXT, Carhire, or Europcar in Dublin?

I currently have a Sixt car that I picked up in Dublin at the airport. I booked it through autoeurope.com which was less expensive than autoeurope.ie and autoeurope.eu. Your experience may be different. It’s good to compare.
