I want to book a cruise that ends in Amsterdam and then want to travel to Paris for 4 or 5 days and then travel to Rome to catch another cruise next year. Can anyone recommend what the best way will be to travel between those cites.. I will book airfare to Amsterdam and return flight from Rome Michelle Valrico FL
Best method for Amsterdam to Paris is via the Thalys high speed rail line. For some reason, the hyperlink I tried to didn't work, so here's the website:
https://www.thalys.com/be/en/ Best method from Paris to Rome would be to fly.
We actually had a cruise around Holland & Belgium this spring which started and ended in Amsterdam. I would be cusious to find out if it was a similar one that the OP was taking, otherwise, I agree they generally are one way.
Book your Thalys train ticket well in advance (up to 90 days allowed) to get a discount fare. Last-minute tickets are expensive. Your budget airline choices for Paris-Rome are Vueling, easyJet, and Ryanair. Vueling and easyJet fly Orly-FCO. Ryanair flies Beauvais-Ciampino which are outlying airports.
Are you looking for a river cruise the begins and ends in Amsterdam? In our experience river cruises are never round trip. So if it ends in Amsterdam it will have started somewhere else on the river.
As I said from our experience I had not seen a round trip river cruise but our cruises have been more in Germany and further south. But will accept that there are some starting and ending Amsterdam.
no.. I already have seen 2 cruises I like.. One is of Ireland and Scotland. and ends in Amsterdam. The other is a western Rivera.. Starts and ends in Rome. Trying to figure out how to pull the 2 together.
