I am taking the RS Switzerland tour in September from, and returning to Amsterdam. It looks like I can fly Amsterdam to Zurich, take a shuttle from the Zurich Airport to the train station, and then catch a train to Lucerne. I will reverse it coming back only leaving from Bern and going to Zurich. Does that make sense?
There is a train station right in the Zurich Airport. No need to take a shuttle to Zurich. Zurich flughaven is the station name you use. I loved this tour when I went on it and I know you will too.
Thanks. After 2 years of Covid lockdowns, I'm a bit rusty when it comes to travel. Happy to be out there again. Its good to know that I don't have to transfer to a train station from the airport. Those Swiss...so efficient.
Or you can take the overnight train between Amsterdam and Switzerland.
This was one of my favorite tours, your going to have a great time!
Loved that tour, and you have a great time of year. Do note that the Swiss cities in September can be in the 80's. I had all my mountain layers, so was quite hot in the cities.
Safe travels!
