Amsterdam Layover Time?

Booking my flight from Minneapolis to Munich. The posted layover time is 1 hour and 5 minutes in Amsterdam. Is that enough time to switch planes in Amsterdam and head on to Munich? Thanks

that's enough time otherwise if the airline goofs up with the plane arriving late to a Amsterdam they will just put you on the next one to Munich

65 minutes for a connection and assuming first leg on time...I'd want more time. If two nonrefundable unrelated tickets and airlines...would not book. Could be an expensive teachable experience.

I wouldn't ever book a layover that short. I just don't enjoy the stress of running through an airport. There's not a ton of wiggle room in one hour and five minutes - it usually takes you awhile to deplane, then you need to find your gate and your next flight is probably already boarding by then.

Even on a single ticket, I'd pick something longer than an hour.

I'm in the same bit of a quandary, but in my case I booked a longer layover in the first place for my return flight from Budapest on KLM, and I've gotten 2 change notifications that now leave me with a 75 minute stop in Schipol. Since I'm heading home I'm not going to sweat it, but hope I won't have to wait for another flight.

Not enough time to guarantee you won't be spending valuable vacation time sitting in the Amsterdam airport hoping for space on another flight to Munich.

Please contact the airline business you bought the ticket from and see what they say about this and get back to the forum so we can learn something.

Thanks for all of the feedback. I bailed out of that option. If everything went perfect, it would be doable......but too many moving parts to take the risk.

HOWEVER........there is an option of a 10 hour layover in Amsterdam flying from Vienna on my return option. I do NOT want to book a hotel on the layover there....cost is the main reason. The flight option does give me one extra day in Vienna....that I like a lot.

Has anyone tried a 10 hour overnight layover in an airport.....as in Amsterdam (or elsewhere)? Is it crazy to even think that? Ha!

Thanks for input again.
