I am so impressed by the quick response to my train luggage question here's another. Arriving Schiphol (AMS) staying in Jordaan the travel press seems to indicate the train from the terminal is the easiest and cheapest. Have ben told that since we are staying fairly close to the station we will encounter resistance from the cabs or they will overcharge. With 3 weeks luggage the walk will not be fun. Can anyone firsthand recommend a limo alternative? Don't want to spend the afternoon touring hotels in a shuttle bus after 21 hours en route.

Maybe the solution is to reduce luggage. Whether three days, three weeks, or three months, for us, the luggage varies very little - one carryon size bag. Take a taxi from the airport that way they will get the longer fare and you will not have to handle your luggage on the train.
