Hi - I will be travelling from Amalfi to Rome. We will be leaving Amalfi on Friday 9/4. What is the best way to get from Amalfi to ROme? Do we need to leave from naples, or Sorrento? Please help as this very new to me.
Also can you provide ideas for the best way to travel while on the amalfi coast? should we hire a private driver, rent a car, or take the bus to explore places like Pompeii and ravello? Thanks in advance.
my friends do that trip every year and say they swear by renting a car with driver. They do not wish to make that drive.

There are two choices if we want to purchase tickets in advance at the link. One is Salerno Concordia, and then Salerno Manifesto or something like that. Which is the one that is the closest to the train station (takes 10 minutes to walk)?
The Piazza Concordia and Porto Turistico are right by the train station (map on p. 1136 of Rick's Italy book). The same port can also be called "Masuccio Salernitano," according to Google Maps.
