We're considering a stopover from Sevilla to Madrid in Cordoba. 2 questions...
1) Is there an Altaria train from C to M?
2) Rick says we can store bags at the bus station in C, but can we fit carry on sized luggage?

Cordoba is on the main line between Sevilla and Madrid.
If there is luggage storage, then it will fit carry on sized luggage.

Are you using Altaria to mean high speed trains? I don't believe that an Altaria train connects Sevilla and Madrid. However, the AVE train does. If you use the AVE you will need two separate tickets -- one to Cardoba and one to Madrid. The bus station is next to the train station but I have not used the bag storage. I would assume that the the lockers would handle carry on size bags.

We were able to get two carry-on size bags into one of the lockers in the Cordoba bus station when we were there in Oct. 2008. It was snug, but doable.
There are not a lot of lockers there. My advice is to have your act together, be among the first off the train, make a beeline for the bus station (across a street) and have coins ready. The slow/clueless/unprepared may end up schlepping their bag through town.
