Also...Types of Eurostar Tickets? confused

Sorry...another question from me.

I am 21 and looking to get a ticket to Paris from London on Eurostar. Should I buy the cheaper non-changeable ticket, or spend more and have the option of a refund/being able to miss my train and get a ticket for another? I'm worried that something will happen and i'll miss my train and basically regret my basic ticket...or am I misunderstanding the website and ticket options? What type of ticket should I buy?

Melena, I booked the cheaper no change ticket. Just like I book airfare. I don't miss planes ,, do you?? At 21 I think you can handle getting to the station on time right? Also, you didn't mention this, but are you booking a one way or a return, , a return is often cheaper then a one way. .

No one can tell you what the best choice is for you , but it worked out fine for me.

If you are concerned about the possibility of missing your scheduled train, don't buy the cheaper ticket with restrictions. If you are in Paris for a while before going to London, then the restricted ticket is just fine as you are in good control of getting to the train on time. However, if you are arriving on a flight and rushing to get to the Eurostar, there are too many variables that you can't control. In this case, I would suggest not buying the cheaper restricted ticket.

Good point Larry, Melena, I never have booked connecting travel that way ,,if I arrive on a flight, I would not plan to travel again( take Eurostar) that same day,, delays happen. If you are staying in Paris for the days before leaving for London should be easy to get to station on time , Gare Du Nord is in Paris ,,so even if there was a metro or bus strike you could walk to station even if it took an hour ( don't book a 6 am Eurostar, LOL ) Relax ,, I am joking,, you will be fine.

Not sure if it applies for you since it is also non-refundable, but I was advised once to buy the cheaper Round-Trip-Same-day ticket when Liesure 3 was sold out, then just toss the return ticket.
