I hope they put them all in middle seats in the back of the plane. Better yet, they miss their flights like other people due to the long security lines.

I would go a step further and add them all to the "No Fly" list and make they stay in Washington and start solving some of the problems and that includes the head chief who needs to sign some of this stuff. (This may not last long 'cause it is not related to travel.)

Are they all waiting in line to go through TSA screening?

And I hope everyone remembers what a thankless, underpaid job TSA has. Show them appreciation when you get the opportunity.

Gail

If elected official are having to stand in line with the public, maybe they will work faster on a deal.

Mr E

Passengers are doing what they are allowed to do to help TSA. No one is blaming TSA. Everyone is feeling for them

Senator John Cornyn(R) of Texas authored Senate Bill (S. 4123) to prohibit preferential screening for
Members of Congress at airports, and for other purposes. Appears it was approved in the Senate now moving on to the House for consideration.

bostonphil7, your good heart comes through in your posts which makes you one of the more endearing contributors, and I wish you were correct.

In the last two weeks there have been two incidents of attacks on TSA officers that were significant to make the news, so I presume hundreds of lesser incidents that didn’t make the news. Imagine the people of our entitled society being made to wait 3 hours in line and then having their sewing scissors confiscated. I suspect TSA agents are getting the bad end of both sticks right now.

Over the years there have been forum posts that have been less than understanding of the TSA employees, again, after a 3 hour wait in line, that’s not going to get better. I know that we have one member of the forum, a regular and often helpful contributor, that here, now, today, believes there is no difference between TSA employees and some of the most vile people in history. If there is one, then with the tens of thousands registered with the forum, I presume there are more.

So, I will keep pleading. Treat everyone around you with the same respect you wish to be shown and I know with you it is just stating the obvious; but bear with me. Thanks

To repeat a bit I'd posted to a thread last week:
"I'll add to your list of preparations packing patience and understanding for the beleaguered employees working the airports and any other transport hubs affected by current world events. The snags/headaches befalling travel plans is not their fault."
