I see on a basic metro map that I can take a non express train right to the Trestevere area. Can someone tell me when I pick that up at the airport (FCO) and where can I get a detailed metro map with exactly where the metro stops?
Thank you,
Tk

There is only one train station at the airport.
We take the train to the Trestevere station and transfer to catch the Metro to the San Pietro station. You can find it on Goggle Maps or Viamichilen.com.
Tina,
At the airport train station The train on the left goes to Trastevere the one on the right is the express to termini.
This may help with the metro http://www.metroroma.it/Documents/Pdf/Cartalinee2008_A4.pdf
Just to add some info. All trains leaving from the airport are technically regional or Suburban trains since the airport is outside the Metro Zone. Once they enter the Metro Zone, they become part of the Metro system and a Metro ticket (1 euro) works, if you originated in the metro zone. From the airport to Trastevere station the non express train (FM1) makes maybe 5 or 6 stops before Trastevere then continues on to Ostiense and Tiburtina. Ticket cost is, I think, 5.50 euro. Once at Trastevere station, you can switch to other Metro Trains, Buses, or the Tram. You will need to get a Metro Ticket at that point. I have had difficulty finding a map that has everything, you may be able to pick one up at the airport station, but there is some good info at www.atac.roma.it, and as someone mentioned, doing some searches. If you are staying in the Trastevere area, Tram 8 is very handy (Tram Map here: http://www.simplonpc.co.uk/Tram_Roma/Tram-Map-big.jpg) as it goes right up Via Trastevere into Argentina. If you do search online, you may find one map for trains and the subway, one for the trams, and one for the buses.
