Hesitant to book a return-to-U.S. trip with short stopover, including change of planes: Marseilles- CDG - JFK, . Will Customs, Immig., security be done at Marseilles? Then must we retrieve baggage and do again at stopover? If so, how could 1hr.20min. be sufficient time?! Packager rep. assured me "no problem" but still concerned. Needlessly?
Thanks for any recommendations. -- Nancy
Security will be at both Marseille and Paris. Customs and immigration will be in New York. Baggage will be checked through if you're on the same carrier/code share. The eighty minutes could be close, but it's a legal connection - - you should make it. What airlines and terminals are involved?
Duplicate thread.
Passport control out of the country is at CDG, along with a second security check. As Ed said, it will be very close. However, there is about a plane every hour to either New York or Newark, so you'd just be rescheduled onto a later flight.
Thanks it's MRS to CDG 2E, and CDG to JFK from 2F terminal sounds adjacent, so if no baggage involved, probably would work but it still sounds stressful.
No stress. Five-minute walk.
Amendment to above. Five minutes is terminal edge to terminal edge. Having been clobbered privately by my pal, Bets, who says jetway to jetway it's closer to an hour - - use that.
