Does anyone know which car rental agency has a convenient airport drop off location for their rental cars? Ideally, I'd like it to be onsite at the airport, rather than offsite with a shuttle to the airport. We're considering either Marseille or Nice.

The last time I returned a car to the Marseille airport, it was right near the terminal, and I believe all of the major rental agencies were there. However, I believe there was major construction at the airport a few years ago, so maybe that's changed. I'm sure you could find out by going to the airport's web site.

In Nice, we picked up and dropped off at airport, on roof of parking garage. Easy access from there to Autoroute. I think we used Avis. You can see pick up/drop off locations by using AutoEurope.com.

Rented from Hertz in the airport (Nice) last summer however there are two locations, both in different terminals and I believe the majority of the rentals are from the terminal that requires a short shuttle transfer. Dropping off was easy, again at the terminal and a shuttle to departures (depending on airline).
We dropped our car off the day before and spent the night at the Novotel across the road from the airport, a short five minute walk in the morning saw us in the airport.

MRS car rental return/check out couldn't be closer to the doors to the terminal. Avis, enterprise, Budget, Thrifty, they share the same lot.
