What are the names of the other airlines similar to Ryanair. We're trying to fly from Prague to Salzburg to Venice to Barcelona.

Go to www.flylc.com Then click on Prague in the first column & it will show, in the 2nd column, where you can get to. So if you see Salzburg, click on it and the 3rd column will show which airline(s) fly there. Repeat the process using Salzburg and Venice in the 1st column. Once I know what airlines are available, I go directly to their website to book. I do not use flylc for booking.

Ashley brings up a good point. flylc, in many cases, acts also as a booking engine...the others, like whichbudget.com, will simply scan fares and allow you to go directly to the airlines' websites. By booking directly thru flylc.com, you won't have a chance to check out baggage restrictions, checkin times, and other necessary information....and you could be in for a major surprise when you arrive at the airport.

The budget alrline search engines that I regularly check are www.fylc.com, www.whichbudget.com, and www.skyscanner.com. Two of the advantages skyscanner has over the others is that it shows indirect flights as well as direct flights and national carriers as well as budget airlines.

If you haven't already discovered it, there are no buget airlines that go directly between Prague and Salzburg or Salzburg and Venice. I suggest that you consider taking the train from Prague to Salzburg and from Salzburg to Venice. If you want information on how to get discount fares by booking in advance, just ask.

For Venice-Barcelona your budget airline choice is Vueling.

Before we disparage "regular" airlines, don't.

I've been amazed on how some of them will offer discount fares when trying to compete on similar routes. I've gotten some surprisingly cheap flights on BA when they competed with the discounters.
