Airlines to Italy

hello all
A group of 6 adults are doing the 10 day Italy tour 9/2015 out of Seattle.
We want to go to Cinque Terra at end of tour ( ends in Rome) thinking of 2 nights/3 days there.
Airline options include British Air - BUT operated by U.S. Airways - for itinerary returning out of Pisa..
The other option is Delta air returning out of Genoa. I am wary of flying on US Airways because of poor reviews online.

Anyone have any opinions to help me make a decision?
Thanks

I have usually found cheaper fares (and better Alaska Mileage Plan miles) on Delta from Seattle than on British, so Delta has been my choice for several years, preferably to connect at Amsterdam, although connecting at Paris also works. I have not heard anything about US Airways service within Europe

I think the service level of all airlines in economy class is marginal at best. So I would pick the airline that best fits the your schedule and price. We have had good service with Delta and, believe or not, Alitalia. Our experience with US Air out of Phil to Rome was not positive but that was a few years ago. All airplane safely took off and landed.

My friends use Delta miles every summer for a trip to Italy (yeah, I know) on Alitalia and they LOVE it.

I only know what I've seen on the intergoogles and it wasn't very flattering. Of course they're in the front of the plane so ...........

Out of Seatac, you've got the following direct flights to Europe:
Delta to Paris de Gaulle
British Airways to LHR Heathrow
Lufthansa to Frankfort

Unfortunately, only the British Airways flight can get you from Pisa back to the U.S. through Heathrow. Delta and Lufsthansa don't have connecting flights to Paris or Frankfort (respectively) from Pisa. Milan might be another airport to fly out of, as it's got more U.S. flights.

Why don't you schedule your whole flight on British Airways?
