We are planning to visit Santorini before our Rick Steve’s tour. What is the recommendation or experience flying from Athens to Santorini and back to Athens?

You have a choice of two airlines....Aegean and Sky Express.
I've flown Aegean and it was fine. I've never flown Sky Express but I haven't heard anything bad about it.
There are multiple flights each day on each airline. The flight is itself is only 45 minutes.

There are three more airlines that fly between Athens and Santorini: Olympic, Volotea, and Ryanair.

There are three airlines that fly from ATH to JTR. They are Sky, Aegean and Olympic. Olympic is a subsidiary of Aegean. All of the flights are about 30 minutes. One question when are you planning on going to Santorini? This time of year the place is packed between people staying there and the multiple cruise ships that arrive there every day.

Last time we were there, we stayed on the ship. Getting up the hill to the city was too crowded.

Our trip is the Rick Steve’s Greece trip on May 10, 2025. We aren’t interested in cruise trips. Thanks for all your responses.
