I am trying to reserve a flight in June from Milan, Italy to Vienna, Austria. Any recommendations as far as airports and airlines?

Austrian Airlines flies daily from Malpensa to Vienna. There is also a direct overnight train between the cities.

Ryanair also flies to and from Milan Malpensa from Vienna. It's a budget air carrier so you'd want to read their terms and conditions.

I much prefer EasyJet over RyanAir for a discount airline. Don't know if EJ flies that route or not but if they do I would choose them. Pay attention to carry on restrictions.

A quick look at skyscanner.com reveals only ryanair and Austrian have direct flights. 2 of the 3 daily flights ryanair has use Bergamo (BGY) Austrian uses MXP
No easyjet for that route.
All other airlines stop somewhere before getting you to Vienna.
