Airline comparison

I am flying from Denver to Dublin in September and back home out of London. Does anyone have an opinion on the best airlines. I am basically just looking for the cheapest price, but wondered if British Air is better than some of the others?

I think the foreign based airlines are marginally better but you are limited on direct flights from Denver but you can connect to many others. We have recent used Delta on a couple of international flights and they were OK. Much better than USAir which we now completely avoid. We did like British Air from Denver but now you have to pay extra for a seat reservation in advance. Go with price unless it is only a small different. United does have the Economy Plus seating which is worth the price difference unless you are very short. And Delta may have added that same choice recently.

We enjoyed British Airways from Seattle to Heathrow, but it was expensive. Food and service was very good, everyone was very polite, moreso in my experience than on US airlines. I like non-stop flights more than multi-legs so the choice to London in Seattle is British Airways or nothing (United used to fly non-stop to London from Seattle but not anymore, and Northwest tried to compete as well but it was very short lived. Delta flies non-stop to Amsterdam from Seattle, Lufthansa, and Air France to Europe. Recently Iceland Air has begun flying from Seattle via Iceland to many destinations in Europe and prices are a bit lower. But I still prefer to fly non-stop.

For British Air, you might check economytravel.com I have found that they have consolidator tickets for some British Air flights, apparent from the same flights being shown later on with higher prices. They explained to me that the cheaper consolidator seats do not come with perks such as BA points, but are otherwise the exact same seats and flights.. That said, we are in the Philadelphia area, with 2 daily regular flights each way between here and Heathrow. I am not sure how much this site would help you where you are, but you've nothing to lose but a little time to play with some sample flight combos to see what you can get.
BTW, all 3 times we've flown we've been able to get seats together by promptly checking in at the beginning of the 24 hour advance window.

In case you have not bought your tix-I'd suggest going with Aer Lingus,if possible for your area.
prices, planes, service were all better than the British Air trips that I took..
