Airline cancellations

Please post any information you hear about airlines cancelling flights to or in Europe. It would probably help those of us who have travel planned in the next month or two especially to Italy.

American Airlines will cancel all flights to Milan until Apr 24. It still has one flight a day to Rome from Philadelphia and is planning to start its seasonal service to Venice in May.

Lufthansa announced it would be cancelling as many as 25% of its flights.

Lufthansa, like most European airlines, have cancelled a lot of flights to Asia. But that will probably not affect many on this forum. However, lack of connecting passengers to Asia has in some cases led to reduced intraeuropean flights.

In addition, many airlines are cancelling or reducing routes to northern Italy.

Ansa.it reporting that Turkish Airlines has suspended all flights to Italy. (In the last few years there have been good prices on US-Italy flights with an Istanbul stopover.)

BA have some good deals to China and Hong Kong in their 'Luxury Sale'. Circa £800 business class from London so I'm guessing there's not much demand at the moment.
