airline booking websites

I have never used sites such as vayama, mobissimo, or cheapoair. Right now their prices to Paris are much better than travelocity or orbitz or the individual airlines. Does anyone have experence with them? They seem almost too good. Thanks Vicki

No direct experience with those sites, but in general, make sure that you are comparing apples to apples. Some sites show prices before taxes and fees, some after, some estimate the taxes and fees. On a flight to Europe taxes and fees can total $200 to $300 dollars. Some also tack on booking fees at the very end, so make sure you know the ticketed price.

Vicki, I booked my flight on vayama and found the fares to be much cheaper than anywhere else. My trip is not until September, 2009 but I did have to make change due to my tour date being changed and vayama customer service made the change quickly and efficiently. Good luck.

If your first concern is cost, I would bid on Priceline for tickets. If you dont care which airline, what departure time and arrival time is, you can save big bucks.

Bid on the feature called 'Name your own price.'
I always use it for auto rental and hotels with great success. If you are interested, do research on www.bidding on travel.com.
