Recently, I read a posting about finding good/cheaper fares to London and/or Paris out of New York on a specific airline. The poster mentioned the drawback is flying to New York first, and also that the particular airline only flies to London and I think Paris. Can anyone tell me where I read this posting, or what airline it is? Thank you!
The Irish airline, Aer Lingus, has consistently low fares from NY to many locations in Europe. They’ve been in financial trouble for awhile, but you’ll be hard pressed to find better fares on some of their routes. Connections are via Shannon and/or Dublin. Also check with Swiss. They regularly win awards as the top airline in Europe and also have consistently competitive fares (often in line with what you might find on Aer Lingus).
Just thought of another airline with low fares to many locations...Iberia. Indeed, Aer Lingus serves gateways other than NY, as does Icelandair.
Aer Lingus usually does have good fares, but they fly out of several US cities, not just NY. Iceland Air is probably the one the poster is referring to, but I've also found great deals on Virgin Atlantic to London.
