Takking advice I got here and looking to travel from Manchester or Liverpool to Amersterdam in early May. Should I reserve ahead and if I go Easyjet will will my US size back carry-on be allowed as a carry-on there or do I pay extra as luggage? Also considering same air travel from Paris to Madrid, same questions there too. Thanks for any info.

Cliff, go to the Easy Jet web site and read their baggage rules! In general, the lo-cost inter EU airlines are very strict about baggage. They allow one carry on...and many times they make you put it in a size checker, and they may/will weigh it. I am flying with Vueling this year, and they went as far as sending me a special Email reviewing the restrictions: "The rules regarding hand luggage are very strict at the boarding gate: You can only carry 1 item. The maximum size is 55x40x20 cm (22"X 16"X 8")
It cannot weigh more than 10 Kg." (22lbs)
