My daughter is going to Milan in May to take 2 classes in conjunction with her University. She came accross Ryan Air. This claims to have airfare for 19.99 Euro. Has anyone heard of it or is it a scam?
The fare of 19.99 Euro is probably plus plus. The total fare will no doubt be much higher.
I don't know what the regulations are regarding the advertisement of Airfares in Europe. In Canada, we see ads for $20.08 Fares often. That of course is only the beginning! Add to that Fuel Surcharges, Airport Improvement Fees and Security Fees etc.
Interestingly enough, very recently I saw an investigative Report Documentary on a Canadian Program on CBC with Wendy Mesely. I think it may have been called "Marketplace"??
Anyway, it was all about how the fares actually end up being hundreds of dollars more...So I'm wondering if the Fare you saw is something similar?? I don't think it is a scam but rather an advertising marketing stunt.
Look into it and read the fine print...
If it were 100% the total cost that would be absolutely awesome!! But I highly doubt it!!
