"“At the moment airlines have systems that are very siloed...In the future, it’ll be far more continuous and the journey pass will be dynamic.”"

Thanks, Ken for the link to the article. I love the jargon and am looking forward to a "dynamic" journey instead of a silo'd one, hahaha!

Good grief...

I may not still be traveling internationally when this comes about. I do try to do my boarding passes digitally...although last trip in October I could not pull up my boarding pass on the Delta app for the 2nd leg of my trip as I walked quickly thru Immigration and Security. Had to stop at the Delta counter in SLC immigration area to get her to issue a paper one. Serves me right for not taking a screenshot.

Facial recognition already starting to happen. For example, with global entry when you come back to United States you never need to get your passport out.

For Delta domestic flights I routinely do not have to show ID to get through security. on some flights I don’t have to show a boarding pass to board.

Most of this stuff is already happening, so the transistion might be easier than expected. But I still wonder if there will be a Plan B for those who dont have cell phones ... and maybe mandatory free charging stations at each gate?
