Air Transat refund??

Hi

Air Transat cancelled our flight on JUly 23rd and sent us an email that they were giving us a credit to be used within the next two years.

But I would rather have a full refund since I don't know if we'll be able to travel (or want to) within the next two years.

Has anyone tried to get a full refund from them and were you successful?

Thank you

PS Also, Eurostar hasn't responded to emails sent back in April about refunding our train tickets. Is that a lost cause as well?

For Eurostar go here https://help.eurostar.com/covid19/#/ to request your voucher. ( assuming your travel dates were within the specified period) I had my evoucher 3 days after submission

If memory serves of what I have read elsewhere on the Forum, Canada does not require a refund on 'non-refundable' tickets on cancelled flights. If your flight originated in the US, different rules may apply.

Good luck

On that link they use the word e-voucher. Doesn't that mean credit and not refund?

Thanks

A voucher is never a cash refund it is a credit, which is what you do not want.
Did you buy a non-refundable train ticket?

I bought the "standard" ticket, which I believe was non refundable. But you'd think they would relax those rules seeing as we're not cancelling by choice.
