The travel agent that I am using is a customer/friend of the friend that I am traveling with. Unfortunately, I decided to go with her because I thought that it might be easier to deal with an agent rather than call the airline directly, like I did last year. I booked everything myself but I did it through expedia.ca and then dealt with Air France on my own, which could be a big pain in the butt and expensive for any changes.
Well, here's the update. I e-mailed "C" yesterday and received her last e-mail to me with a response to my question as to whether it was available from Lamezia Terme?
Her response, "no it is not." That's it?
So, I e-mailed her back and asked her where could I fly out of in Italy and I didn't hear back from her. She ignored my e-mails b/c they all kept coming back to me. I used the same address or just pressed replyed but they kept bouncing back to me so I think she blocked me from sending her e-mails. I kept getting the Failure Delivery Notification message. When I finally called her, she was so rude and cold. She didn't even say 'hello' and she wasn't friendly! I couldn't believe the way she was with me. I could feel the tension and this upset from her.
I called Air Transat when I got home and found out that there are flights out of Lamezia AND Rome! I told her this and she told me that she found that "interesting" because she was told "otherwise". She asked me if I wanted her to call them back and I said "yes".
She called me back 1/2 hour later and told me that my friend and I can fly out of Lamezia on the different date for a fee of $75.00, which is good because when I called on my own, it was $233.00!
I couldn't believe it. I was so upset with her behaviour towards me, lack of professionalism and attitude. I don't know if she was having a bad day or personal issue but that doesn't excuse her behaviour.
