Air France Shuttle in Paris

I'm looking for information on the Air France Shuttle in Paris, and have found that it is about 8 euros, and has 2 or 3 pick-up points in the city (one at the Les Invalides). Most of the websites I stumble into are in French, so I'm at a loss on certain key facts.
1) Does it require reservation, or is it pay as you board?
2) Do you have to hold a ticket on Air France to use this service?
3) Where do you pick up this shuttle at the CDG airport, and does it drop off at Les Invalides?
4) Does the Les Invalides pick-up point go to Orly, and is there a set schedule for that run?

I appreciate any advice on any of these questions. I've never been to Paris, and need all the guidance I can get.

Thanks!

For a bus to the airports, go to www.ratp.fr. Click the British flag for English, then the link"Charles-de-Gaulle or Orly?" at the bottom right side of the page. It's not Air France and it goes to the Opera.

Claudia, Thank you for the fantastic English website. I've seen a similar site for Amsterdam, and I forgot to look for the AngloInfo for Paris. Thanks!

MaryAnn,

The Roissybus goes non-stop from CDG to Opera. The fare is €8.90 and you pay as you board. The bus runs every 15-20 minutes.

Air France bus #2 goes from CDG to Porte Maillot and then to Charles de Gaulle Etoile. It runs every 30 minutes and the fare is €15. Anyone can use the Air France buses and you pay as you board.

Air France bus #4 goes from CDG to Gare de Lyon and then to Gare Montparnasse. It runs every 30 minutes and the fare is €16.50.

Air France bus #1 runs Charles de Gaulle Etoile-Gare Montparnasse-Orly. Air France bus #1* runs Charles de Gaulle Etoile-Invalides-Gare Montparnasse-Orly. #1 and #1* alternate every 15 minutes so each one runs every 30 minutes and the fare is €11.50.

Wow! Thank you Tim! You really cleared that up. I could not find that level of detail anywhere.

Thanks for your post.

I took the Metro to the RER last week, total was 8.40 Euro. Worked just fine for me.
