Does anyone have any suggestions for an overnight stay near the Manchester airport? I don't mind walking a couple miles and enjoy bed and breakfasts. Looking for somewhere easy on the wallet and comfy to get over that jetlag!

Faith: You don't need to walk 2 miles with your luggage! It will be exhausting after your flight. Download Google Earth for free; input Manchester UK; enable lodging and airport; you'll see the airport; there are 5 hotels around it; double click on each icon to see its website and reviews. And please, spoil yourself, take the hotel shuttles or a taxi the short distance from the airport to these hotels.

The closest overnight stay but not easy on the Wallet is the Radisson SAS that is connected T2
There is a train station attached to the terminal so there is an opportunity to take a train/metro 10-15 minutes to manchester and outskirts. I would assume you could end up at PTI/Travelodge/Ibis type place for 45-50 pounds a night.
As stated there always is the airport shuttle opportunity for whatever you find with google earth.
