Hello all: I am wondering what people's experiences are for the A380 from JFK to CDG in the upper deck. Also, have two choices in seats 88l or 93l. I checked guru/expert not a lot of help to be honest so would like to hear from all of you. Thanks!

We flew from JFK to CDG in May on the A380, on the upper deck. It was very quiet! You could actually have a nice conversation without any noise. The seats are rather tight and rigid, with high backs, but the upper deck was only partially filled and lots of people were sound asleep in the back half of the plane. The armrests fold nicely so it was easy to make a bed. I can't remember what seats we had (my husband and I-he's 6'3", I'm 5'2" but we were both comfortable) but the seats seemed to be the same in all but first class. Forgot to say that we had an evening flight, arriving in Paris the "next" day. Our plane was late taking off due to traffic, but it was a great flight and we're looking forward to taking the A380 again.
