Aer Lingus has just announced a new low fare option with round trip prices as low as $399 during the October to March period. The Saver option includes one cabin bag plus food. Checked bags and advance seat selection are available at additional cost.

There is always Amtrak to Chicago. 31 hours on a train will get you primed.

Found - Amtrak to/from Chicago - special fares. The bad news....and yes, it's over 31 hours each way in a "reserved seat" with a cost of $278 per person. Oh well, I'll shimmy back to the ITA Matrix Airfare Search website.
