Hi- Later this month I'm flying from JFK to Paris via dublin on aer lingus.'I do not have to change terminals but I've never had to connect this way so I'm wondering if anyone else knows about it. I am thinking I have to go through passport control which everytime I've done when arriving in paris has taken almost an hour so that is disconcerting....
Other than that I am seeing that I will have to transfer to the departure level at the airport. I've flown plenty so hopefully can navigate. Anyone have some tips?
I'm not sure I understand your question. In Dublin you most likely stay at the new Terminal 2. The walks can be quite long but other than that it's a well layed-out new terminal building. Since Ireland is not a Schengen country you have to go through Schengen immigration at your point of entry to Schengen-land - which is Paris. In Dublin you stay in transit.
