Aer Lingus

Just a quick question. I booked a oneway flight on Aer Lingus, Amsterdam to Cork. I never picked a seat, avoiding the extra fee. I'm assuming they will just assign one to me when boarding, correct?

They will assign it when you check in for the flight.

It actually depends on the fare. If you booked the cheapest of all (which doesn't include any luggage nor any frequent flier miles) it will be assigned to you upon online check-in. If you booked the fare that does include luggage and miles you can pick a seat of your choice upon online check-in free of any additional charge. Of course at any time prior to checking in you can "buy" your preferred seat online. All of their intra-European flights are on Airbus A320/A321. The seats are an inch wider than on a Boeing 737. Seat pitch on Aer Lingus is OK. So actually there are no really bad seats...

And you're talking about a relatively short flight, anyway.
