I am flying Aer Lingus from Chicago to Paris. I am trying to get my carry on down to 22lbs/10kg. I am at 22.8 lbs. Does anyone think they will let it pass? Are they stingy on the size of the personal bag? I am trying to avoid checking any bags. I can check for free, just don't want to.
"Does anyone think they will let it pass?"
It doesn't really matter what any of us think. They might let it pass; they might not. Just be prepared to check it if they don't. (Or figure out another pound of things you don't really need.
10 Kg is actually 22.05 lb, so take .75 lb out and stick it in your pocket. After they weigh the bag (if they do) take it out of your pocket and stick it back in your bag.
