Is there any advantage (in terms of price) to buying tickets for within country travel in advance, in Switzerland? I know I should buy my tickets for my Switzerland to Milan travel in advance. Thanks!

I do not know of any price reduction for advance purchase for travel within Switzerland, at leastin summer. Sometimes there are special prices for intercity travel in the off season, and there are monthlynspecials on the SBB page you could investigate. But I have never seen anything that worked for typical tourist travel inSwitzerland in summer. BTW, Iimapologize for not responding to your PM about the Seiser Alm gondola; I had limited Internet over the weekend. But it appears Sam found the answer for you.

Thanks. The information she provided was about a different lift, I think. I think I've found my answer, it just seems all of the published schedules are only valid until June 15, so it makes me nervous to book a train based on those schedules. I'm going to hold out a bit longer, maybe they will publish summer/fall schedule soon.
