Hello, My family and I depart Nice 11.15 pm 30th Nov and arrive barcelona 12.30am. Is there a hotel close by or is there transport available to get into Barcelona please? Thanks for your help.

You can catch an inexpensive public bus just in front of the Barcelona airport terminal which will take you to Placa Catalunya. I stayed at Hotel Lloret in May. It is very close to where the bus from the airport stops, at the top of Las Ramblas.

Taking the bus from the Airport to Downtown is easy. Aerobus (Airport Bus), Runs between the Barcelona Airport and pl. Catalunya. Frequency: 15 Mins Max. Fare: One way: 3,90, Round trip: 6,70. purchase the ticket on the bus. Length of journey: 30 minutes Stops: plaça Catalunya (in front of El Corte Ingls and the tourist office), 5 min walk to hotel Royal Ramblas.

We love the location of this hotel. It is very close to the Airport bus stop, walk out the front door and you are on the Ramblas. Our room over looked street performers on the Ramblas, but was surprisingly quiet.

As noted earlier, the "Aerobus" last run leaves at 1 am, so if you don't have to wait for luggage, you should be able to catch it. That should put you downtown at Placa Catalunya at around 1:30 am. The last train to leave for Sants stations departs at 12:44 am, so you'll probably miss it, especially since it's a couple of minutes' hike over the pedestrian bridge to the station. But make a try for it, and the bus can be your backup.
