The AARP British Airways discount is still in effect till Jan. 31, 2019. However, there has been some changes. No longer is premium economy booking given a discount. The Economy and Business discount's have also been reduced to $65 and $200 respectively.

Oh no! I missed this entirely. I wonder if it works for upgrades? Although $200 may not be enough of a discount to justify the upgrade.
Edit to add: I went to the AARP page, and while they mention the discount, I don't see any way to implement it.
