Thank you for the link. Reminds me to German Volocopter.

I think the Norwegian one is more a plane, the other one more a helicopter / category eVTOLs (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing). Both types are needed.

This technology is fascinating, especially for those hard-to-reach areas in Scandinavia. If they can scale those short-takeoff electric planes, it would completely change how we think about regional hops without the heavy carbon footprint.

Similar work has been done in Canada and Alaska, looking at electric over traditional engines. There already is an infrastructure of short take off, small air transport in those area, the bush pilots and small firms serve a pretty vital roll for visitors and locals alike.
