A short shout-out to easyJet and Ryanair

I've just returned from a trip to the Camino Santiago and was very pleased using connecting flights on two low fare airlines (easyJet CDG to Biarritz and Santiago to Madrid). When purchasing my tickets last Spring, I had read some grumbling on the Travel Forum and a few other travel sites but I found both airlines to have excellent pricing, informative and useful web sites with follow up emails, clean planes and pleasant crews. If I'd had the opportunity to purchase a single, open-jaw ticket from American Airlines from PHL to CDG to Biarritz and returning from Santiago to MAD to PHL I would have done so in a heartbeat but my destinations were not available at a fair price or with reasonable connections.

Wishing everyone happy and safe travels.

I use Easyjet a lot and have nothing but praise for them.I have done around 12 flights with them in the last 18 months, been on time most of the time, only one delay and that was only about 20 minutes ,on 2 occasions we actually arrived nearly 30 minutes early.
Prices are good and their add on cost for luggage etc. very reasonable.
Flying with them to Prague 4 weeks today and can't wait.

Travelers just need to be aware of their rules before booking the flights. When a budget air carrier says one carryon, they mean it.
We often will tour a region in Europe and use one of the budget airlines to fly to a completely different place on the way home.
Norwegian Air Shuttle is the only budget European air carrier that's flying to the U.S. in their new fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners. We recently flew from Orlando to Copenhagen round trip for half the normal airfare. You either have to bring a picnic on board or buy their food--food and drink optional.
