Transfer time at Karlsruhe Hbf Station Germany for TGV train

According to the DB website from Baden Baden to Paris Est Leaving Baden Baden at 8.53 arriving direct to Karsruhe Hbf we would have 10 minutes to get between the two tracks listed. Is 10 minutes enough time? It's track 14 to 6??? I don't want to miss our train to Paris! Also, should we purchase our TGV tickets before we arrive in Germany for this trip? We plan on buying the 5 day German rail pass and use this to get to the TGV

"We plan on buying the 5 day German rail pass and use this to get to the TGV" You can get advance-sale savings tickets at the DB website for the TGV from Karlsruhe to Paris. What doesn't make sense to me is to use a railpass day just to travel from Baden-Baden to Karlsruhe, which costs only 6.30€ each for a regular ticket on the Regional Express train or the S-Bahn (20-30 minutes.) The 5-day railpass will cost you $15 to $32 more per person than the 4-day railpass (depending on which German railpass you plan to buy.) Since the local trains run every 30 minutes or so (weekdays from Baden-Baden at 7:24, 7:53, 8:28, for example) you can arrange to pull into Karlsruhe a little earlier than if you stick only with the ICE train. It looks like you might be on the 8:53 ICE from B-B to Karlsruhe. So instead, take the 8:28 IRE for 6.30€ each and arrive in Karlsruhe at a more comfortable 8:49.

Baden-Baden is within the KVV, Karlsruhe metro district (click on British flag for English). There are multiple options for getting to Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof, including 25 minutes on a streetcar. All KVV connections cost 6,30€/adult.
