Any advice on when to book flights Rome to Paris (a Monday, early May)? Vueling seems to be the only one flying at 'civilized' hours (10:40 AM)...as we have to drive in from near Perugia. They have had flights from 38 euros, but I just checked & the date I need is now 83 euros! I'd read on the helpline that European airlines have sales in Feb & March; but it sounds as if this flight may be booking up...or the previous sale was a promotion. Any ideas??? Thanks.

Fares on budget airlines like Vueling start low for far-in-advance bookings and keep going up as seats are sold and fewer remain. Unless there is a special sale (don't count on it), the longer you wait, the more you'll pay.
Try Germanwings and Air Berlin for Fiumicino-CDG. Try easyJet for Ciampino-Orly.
Ryanair flies Ciampino-Beauvais, but Beauvais is a long way from Paris.
