any tips on places to see Jazz or acoustic music in Paris. I am not into techno, electric big club scene. I like smaller, quite jazz or local acoustic music places.

I've read good things about jazz club/bar Le Caveau des Oubliettes (French). Unfortunately, there was no jazz when I went (national holiday), but the general atmosphere was great - very subdued, but friendly. From Saint-Michel RER station: with the Seine in front of you, turn Right on the Quai Saint Michel. Make a Right at the Petit Pont/Rue Saint-Jacques. Make a Left on Rue Galande. You should see it from the corner.
