Paris to Milan

Does the TGV train from Paris, Gare du Lyon, to Turin stop at Lyon to pick up/drop off passengers? If so can we get off the train for a few minutes before continuing on to Turin? Many thanks, John

The direct TGVs from Gare de Lyon to Torino Porta Susa that depart at 07:49, 10:41, and 14:41 stop at Lyon-St Exupery(TGV), but only for a couple of minutes.

When I took that train a few years ago, it did not stop in Lyon. There was a stop at a town near the French border, then we went on to Turin.

I don't know why you want to get off the train just for a few minutes, but you will stop at the station for Lyon Saint-Exupery airport, not the city centre. If it's the Saint-Exupery station building you want to see, you will be impressed.

Daylight at that time will be about the same as Calgary - short.

On the 14th of February at Lyon expect sunrise at 7:45 AM CET and sunset at 6:04 PM CET; the sun will be fairly low in the sky if you can see it. This year the high was 4 C on that day, the low was minus 3. It has only been sunny 18 percent of the time historically in February, marginally more than it has been foggy (14%). Most of the time it is cloudy or very cloudy or wet.
