We will be flying into Rome on May 15. I just read that air traffic controllers in Italy will be striking on May 14th. Anyone know what the chances are of disruptions for our flight? I know it's the next day but am concerned about disruptions in air traffic.
TIA
I would guess that there could be significant disruptions.
There was on in paris a few weeks ago I read and they said it did not affect international flights only regional flights
Often the Italian strikes are regional, and usually only last certain hours or for a day. However, if it affected the international flights, there may be people needing to get there - may be an opportunity to get deliberately "bumped" for a price. Your confirmed ticket should still get you there just fine. It's always best to plan for "adjustments" to travel plans.
