My husband and I want to take a night train from Germany to Paris. We will ending our trip in Germany in Baden Baden. Where should we go to get a night train to Paris.
According to the timetables at www.bahn.de, some night train routes that are currently available won't be after mid-June. On the other hand, the Karlsruhe-Paris night train, which is not listed currently, will begin running on June 10 (no service on July 25, 26, and August 1). SparNight fares booked at http://buchung.nachtzugreise.de are as low as 29 EUR. To see the timetables all the way from Baden-Baden to Paris, go to www.bahn.de and click on "Internat. Guests" to get the English version. Enter Baden-Baden (include the hyphen) as your departure station and Paris Est as your arrival station.
Hey Teri, my new favorite site for planning train travel is http://plannerint.b-rail.be/bin/query.exe/en?L=profi&
You can put the places you want to go, the days, times, etc. and it will tell you when the car travels, where it stops or where you have to change trains and how long and what amenities are available. There is a good night train from Munich to Paris in July. You can plan you own dates and test cities you will be visiting. Sounds like fun!
