I was trying to find tickets and prices for train from Amsterdam to Brussels. The thlys website does not list the USA as a country of residence to buy tickets online. Can I buy anyway and use email as ticket. They will not mail me tickets or will my us passport make tickets not valid. There is a significant price difference on eurail website.

It doesn't matter that you don't live in Holland, the tickets you print out at home will be valid. Thalys uses airline style pricing so the sooner you book the cheaper it will be. Alternatively you can also use this site: http://www.nshispeed.nl/en
